Family get-away to St. George!

About a month ago (yes, my posts are a little out of order chronologically) we took a little family vacation to St. George during Sam's Spring Break. This was our third year in a row and it never gets old! Once again my sweet Grandma Lola graciously let us stay in her fabulous condo in Ivins. It's great to feel so "at home" when we go down there because we have had so many wonderful vacations there over the last 10 years or so. Although this post will mostly be pictures of all the fun we had, let's admit it people...that's all you look at anyway! So just ignore any, or all, of the text and enjoy the pictures! :)

The kids did great on the way down! (Ok, well I take that back a little bit....Tyler is your classic "are we there yet?" every five minutes type of kid.) It was fun to look back and see Lilly fast asleep with her cute little bear ears sticking up!

It's now a tradition to go to Fiesta Fun when we are in St. George. Even Lilly was able to participate in the soft play area. She loved climbing up the slide and then going down...as you can clearly see!

Tyler loved the "shoot the balls into the clown's teeth" game. With Matt's help, he quickly got the hang of it and could do it all on his own. Although I didn't get a picture of it, Sam's favorites were Skeeball (sp?) and the claw machine that grabs candy (even though he didn't like ANY of the candy in there, he thought it was great...and gave all the candy to Tyler!).

Yes, I requested to be in a picture so that my kids will know that I was actually there, 20 years from now!

We explored a little bit around Ivins and found some AWESOME playgrounds that we didn't know were there. It was a bit chilly still, which was a bummer because we were in St. George after all, but much warmer than the snow scene back in Salt Lake!

Sam was brave and tried all sorts of new things on the playground!

I just thought this one was cute.

This is Lilly enjoying her first official swing ride! She l-o-v-e-d it!!!! What a sweet baby!

My sweet Tyler was a big helper at the playground. He pushed Lilly in the swing and encouraged Sam to follow him around and try out some of the equipment.

I got caught in the act of being silly with Tyler. That funny bowl looking thing was actually really fun. Basically you sit in it, shift your body weight a bit, and it spins you around and around. Tyler thought it was great too.

More swinging action.....PRECIOUS!!!

Ummmm....do they get any cuter? (Note to self: get Lilly some sunglasses that are a little more "girlier" than Lightning McQueen.)

Lilly also enjoyed her first official dip in a swimming pool. She also enjoyed this new activity thoroughly! I think it helped that the pool was indoors and was warm as a bathtub! The boys especially liked that they could "reach" in the shallow end.

It just so happened that the St. George Arts Festival was going on while we were there. We decided to be adventurous and go check it out. We lucked out and found it to be quite a family friendly event!

Sam loved walking around and being the "leader". (Basically I would just let him roam free and I would follow him.) He especially liked walking through and near the water features.

No that is not some wild animal that we found at the festival....that's my ferocious Tyler the Tiger! Tyler was in hog heaven with the face paint and then a snow cone for a treat later!

What a lovely couple!

In case you can't tell....that is one big honkin' scone!!!! It's bigger than Tyler's head! It was my favorite treat from the festival! Absolutely delicious!

Hopefully we'll be able to make it 4 years in a row next year!
