So much to celebrate!

So...I've come to realize that I've slacked off BIG TIME with my blogging. It's been over a month since I've posted anything - so sorry about that! I do have really good excuses...but I'll spare you the whining! :) Our little family has had a lot to celebrate with Matt's b-day, Father's Day, and Sam's b-day all within 5 days of each other! It was a whirlwind event of parties, fun, more parties, and more fun!

The boys loved "helping" Matt open up his presents...good thing Matt is such a good sport about it! :) To celebrate Matt's b-day we got to go out to dinner and a movie. We saw "Prince Caspian" and we both would recommend it. If you liked the first "Narnia", you'll definitely like this one too!

Sammy was ALL about the birthday this year. We haven't really had great success with celebrating his b-day in years past...but this year was an entirely different story! Sam LOVED everything about his b-day and especially liked having so many different opportunities to celebrate! We had a little b-day party for him with his buddies from school. It was a low-key water party at Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Leigh's house. They have a fenced-in yard, which was ideal so that no one could escape! :) Sam also got to take treats in to school and he loved having everyone sing to him there. Oh, yeah, and he was totally diggin' the party hat this year!

We were able to have a little celebration get together at my mom and dad's house too. We celebrated both Matt and Sam's b-days, as well as Father's Day. I felt so blessed to have my husband, my dad, and BOTH of my grandpas there to celebrate Father's Day with! We were also lucky to have my grandma Lola, Shaunae, my aunt, and Brett and his family there too! It was QUITE the party!

Sam received so many wonderful presents for his b-day (THANKS everyone who spoiled him!). It has been especially fun to see him enjoy all of the great new books that he got. It just melts my heart to find him reading to himself...and sometimes he'll read OUT LOUD to himself! Even better! He is an amazing reader and most likely knows WAY more words than we know about! My little smarty pants. Also, if you can look closely in this picture of him reading...look at his toes....he has been doing this funny little thing where he interlocks his big toes while he reads. Not sure what to think about that???
