For our last-day-of-summer family outing we decided to take the kids downtown to see the Church History Museum exhibits.
We had heard from several sources that they had a fun children's area, so we were excited to check it out.
Lilly loved these fun dress-up dolls. She spent a long time putting clothes on the people/angels and making little scenes with them.

Thanks to the movie "Rio" (which is Sam's new favorite show) Sam was smitten with the parrot puppet. By the way, Sam now wants to go on his mission to Rio de Janeiro....he gave up on the Disneyland idea.

There were some fancy dance costumes for the kids to try on...but they were WAY too big for Lilly. She was a bit disappointed, so we wrapped one around her any way.

If you haven't been down there yet, you should totally check it out. Totally worth the drive and the parking. Gotta love free entertainment for the little ones!

I would have never thought to go on an outing with the kids there. Thanks for the tip.
It looks like a really fun place to take the kids and I bet they even learned some new things.
